I’m always chasing the light.
Sunrise before the world wakes. Sunset as everything begins to slow.
I’m fascinated by how light can completely transform a familiar landscape. The same trees, the same view, yet every sunrise and sunset tells a different story.
Chase the Light was inspired by a sunrise that stopped me in my tracks after the gym. I was drawn to the moodiness of the clouds against the silhouette of my neighbour’s gum tree and the fleeting colours that appeared as the morning light shifted across the sky.
This small original painting is a reminder to look up and notice the ordinary places around us. Sometimes a familiar view only lasts a moment before becoming something entirely new.
